PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably produce a nylon 6 fiber with high uniformity in high yield by utilizing a high-speed single process. SOLUTION: This nylon 6 fiber is produced by the following process which comprises the steps of heat-treating a filament yarn Y formed by melt spinning of nylon 6 and once solidified by a cooling unit 2, for >=0.01 sec. in a hot gas at >=150 deg.C; taking up the filament yarn at a speed of >=3,500 m/s by means of a take-up roller 5 so as to set the weight percentage ofαtype crystal in the fiber to be >=10%; and subsequently allowing the yarn to travel through another take-up roller 6 with 1.01 to 1.40 times higher speed than that of the roller 5, followed by winding the resultant nylon 6 fiber product.
