<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect the height of a sheet while taking the curled state of the sheet into account, in a sheet discharging device such as a sorter. SOLUTION: In a sheet discharging device for receiving a sheet from an image forming device and discharging it to at least one bin formed of bins composed of a plurality of trays 20b, 20c, 20d (20) arranged in parallel by a discharging means 24, a plurality of feelers 42 are arranged above the sheet in the bin 20 and in the width direction of the tray at a distance, and a synthesizing means 41 for outputting the height of the upper surface of the sheet in the bin on the basis of the sensed information of respective feelers for sensing the sheet, and a sensor main body 47 for detecting whether the sheet upper surface reaches the specified height or not on the basis of the output result of the synthesizing means 41 are provided.</p> |
