PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble segments for a shield machine, in which the breadth of a shield body is expanded in response to excavation width, easily. SOLUTION: Upper-lower travelling rails 41, 42 disposed along the cross direction are constituted in an extensible manner while a travelling body 43 being freely moved along these rails is arranged. A body of revolution 46 being freely rotated around a shield axial center, a rocking arm 48 being freely projected and retreated to and from the outer circumferential side and a segment holding frame 51 capable of holding segments are installed to the travelling body 43.
