PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a battery residual capacity measuring device which indicates the correct residual capacity of a battery, judges the deterioration of the battery, and notifies of the result of the judgement. SOLUTION: In a battery residual capacity measuring device, provided with a data reading circuit part 9, which reads current flowing from a battery 3 to a load 2 and its voltage to convert them into digital signals, and a regenerative current detecting circuit part 11, which detects the occurrence of regenerative currents from the polarity of the voltage of the battery 3, a residual capacity calculating part 13 collects the data of currents and voltages for a given period to calculate and indicate the residual capacity of the battery 3, based on those data of the currents and voltages in each collection. Also, the current data are integrated and when this integrated amount reaches a specified amount, the deterioration of the battery 3 is judged from a first residual capacity k1 before reaching the specified amount and a second residual capacity k2 right after reaching the specified amount. When deterioration is judged, a warning appears on a display 24. |
