PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the selection of optimum processing mode only through simple density setting by setting image correcting processing more than one kind among image correcting processing such as base removal, edge emphasis and gamma correction while being interlocked with the density setting of output image. SOLUTION: When density 1 is set to be 'deep' in a halftone mode, the processing without base removal and with edge emphasis is selected. When density 2 is set to be 'a little deep', processing with neither base removal nor edge emphasis is selected. When density 3 is set to be 'medium', processing with base removal and without edge emphasis is selected, when density 4 is set to be 'a little pale', the black level gradation reproduction of gamma correction is selected a little strong and when density 4 is set to be 'pale', the black level gradation reproduction of gamma correction is selected strong. These signals are coded by a CODEC 11 and sent to a data bus. A user can execute optimum image correcting processing corresponding to the original only through simple density setting. |
