PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space saving liquid jet unit in which the heads for jetting, respectively, a colorless printability enhancing liquid and an ink composition reacting to each other are provided individually with corresponding recovery members. SOLUTION: A carriage 2 can reciprocate along the longitudinal direction of scanning rails 3, 11. The carriage 2 is arranged with replaceable head cartridge 1L for jetting a recording liquid and another head cartridge for jetting a liquid processing the recording liquid. The head cartridges 1L,... are provided, respectively, with dedicated recovery members, i.e., a wiper and a cap. A processing liquid recovery member 12a can retract from the recording liquid jet port face by moving in a direction different from the moving direction of the carriage 2 independently from a processing liquid recovery member 12b. |
