PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wound covering material having more effective activities for promoting wound healing by formulating a specific peptide. SOLUTION: This wound covering material having activities for promoting vascular neogenesis and cell growth is obtained by culturing Streptomyces nobilis, extracting the culturing liquid, an exsiccated material thereof, or a cultured fungus body with an organic solvent to provide an extract, fractionating the extract by various chromatography, further carrying out a recrystallizing treatment of the fractionated extract to provide a peptide of the formula, and formulating 10<-7> -10 wt.% of the peptide, and further at least one kind selected from an alginic acid salt gel, a collagen, a fibrin, and a chitin, a chitosan and a derivative thereof. The using amount of the vulnerary covering material is 0.1μg-10 g in terms of the peptide.
