PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electrostatic charge image developing toner not causing poor cleaning due to scratching a photoreceptor and cleaning blades and the image forming method using this toner by incorporating a specified γ-type Fe2 O3 . SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner particles (a) comprising at lest a colorant and a binder resin and, as an external additive, the γ-type Fe2 O3 (b) having a BET specific surface are of 30-60 m<2> /g and a MoH's hardness of 5.5-6.5 and a primary spherical form. Since this Fe2 O3 (b) has a primary spherical form, it has a soft grinding effect to a photoreceptor and a proper hardness and hardly damages the suffice of the photoreceptor when the photoreceptor is made of an organic photoconductor or an amorphous silicon. These fine Fe2 O3 particles (b) scrape out the residual toner and the like attached to the sleeves and charging members and the surface of the photoreceptor, and the toner can be always stabilized in a charge amount, even if the environmental conditions are changed, by using this additive. |
