PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten apparently its access time without injuring storage efficiency of a waveform memory and a ROM, etc., and to generate a musical sound with high definition. SOLUTION: The waveform data of an even numbered sample number are stored in a ROM (a), and the odd numbered waveform data are stored in the ROM (b) respectively in order of sample number. A read-out control part reads out four waveform data being the waveform data placing on front/rear of the sample number to be obtained and that the sample numbers are continued from the ROMs (a), (b) in two slots that an even slot, an odd slot are continued respectively. Then, interpolation processing is performed from these four data, and the waveform data of the sample number to be obtained are calculated. |
