PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain rapid reaction rate and strong crushing powder by containing a thermit agent, which contains ferric oxide, cupric oxide and aluminum powder in a specific weight ratio, and a gas generating agent. SOLUTION: This crushing composition contains 100 pts.wt. thermit agent, which contains 60-2 wt.% ferric oxide having 0.15-1μm particle diameter, 83-10 wt.% cupric oxide having 1-7μm particle diameter and 30-15 wt.% aluminum powder having 0.5-16μm particle diameter and coated with a water repellent agent having 150000-100000 cm<2> /g water surface coating area, and 20-150 pts.wt. gas generating agent. As the gas generating agent, an inorganic compound having crystallization water such as aluminum sulfate.18 hydrate, iron sulfate.7 hydrate, zinc sulfate.7 hydrate, barium methasilicate.6 hydrate, cobalt sulfate.7 hydrate, manganese potassium sulfate.12 hydrate, potassium alum.12 hydrate or one or more kinds of organic compounds such as granulated sugar are used.
