A reversible valve system engaged with an anesthetic breathing circuit, wherein in use when in a first operative valve position, the circuit is blocked, allowing fresh gas to enter in a predetermined direction, preferably as defined by one-way valves present in the circuit, providing a path for venting o f circuit gas forcing gas to flow substantially throughout the entire circuit, whe rein when the reversible valve system is in a second disengaged valve position, the circuit returns to its original configuration to be utilized for administering anesthesia. |
