Tearing strip for opening packages, formulated on the basis of single-layer or multi-layer extruded polyolefins, depending on the requirements of the final package, totally or partially foamed, drawn monoaxially, with adhesive for facilitating its joining to the packaging material. It has a high resistance to transverse tearing, is less dense than a conventional tearing strip based on polyolefins and therefore is lighter for the same thickness, and, as a consequence thereof, offers environmental improvements owing to the reduction of waste, all the aforesaid with a pearly effect which improves the image and aesthetics of the final product.
