One of the improvements of the invention is to give the sacks (3) at the time of closing and releasing them, an inclined position, with the open end in a forward position with respect to the base or lower end of the sack, the inclination of the sack being obtained by controlling the intermittent motion of the sack clearing conveyor belt (2), in such a way that, after releasing the closure mechanism, the inclination of each sack (3) is sufficient to tilt the sack by gravity until it rests upon the sack which is immediately before, the inclination of the sack (3) being slow and progressive, without stress in the closure seam (6), stress which could cause the breaking of said sack. Another improvement concerns the conveyor belt (2) which is associated to a frame (10) vertically displaceable on a pair of side guides (13), so that the elevation of the frame (10) and, together with it, of the conveyor belt (2), provides for the adaptation of the installation to various sizes of sacks.
