The invention refers to a horizontal self-lubricating bearing used in machines or equipment with a horizontal axle, such as hydraulic turbines, pumps, electrical motors etc. According to the invention, the bearing performs lubrication by means of a pumping disc (5) submerged in oil and connected to the shaft (4). A belt (b) for carrying over the oil is formed in between the body (1) of the bearing and the pumping disc (5), the oil reaching a collecting and distributing chamber (c). The radial section of the bearing is supplied through a recess (d) and an orifice (e). A part of the oil enters, through a recess (f) and some holes (g), into a circular space (h) which contains the axial segments (3). The oil is discharged into the bath (a) of the bearing through holes (i), a channel (j) and a recess (k), under the action of the centrifugal force.
