<p>PURPOSE:To erect a post for a handrail vertically on the top face of a coping simply regardless of the angle of inclination of the coping. CONSTITUTION:When a post 1 for a handrail is erected to a coping 5 fixed onto a building parapet (a), a base member 2, in which an arcuate recessed surface 22 being curved in the direction of the drooping gradient of the coping 5 and having a center in an upper section and having a large radius is formed to a top face at a central section, is mounted at the place of the erection of the handrail post on the parapet (a) side directly or through a mounting member for reinforcement. A post end crown member 3, to which a projecting arcuate abutting end face 32 having the same curvature oppositely faced to the arcuate recessed surface 22 of the base member 2 is constituted, is fixed on the lower end section side of the handrail post 1. The base member 2 and the post end crown member 3 are clamped and fastened at selected places by a clasping bolt 91 and a nut 92 by adjusting the relative positions of the abutting surfaces of the arcuate recessed surface 22 and the projecting arcuate abutting end face 32, the central angle of the handrail post of the post end crown member 3 to the base member 2 is changed, thus controlling the angle of erection of the handrail post 1.</p> |
