A device for stretching a sheet (S) such as a plastic sheet, in which the sheet is gripped at both selvages of the front and reverse surfaces by a large number of holding members (1) ... and stretched while being transferred from the upstream side to the downstream side, and said holding members (1) are provided with an endless driving belt (2) which operates to grip and transfer the sheet (S). The device enables not only simultaneous biaxial uniform stretching but also easy change of the stretch ratio and, further, easy changeover to stretching in the longitudinal direction only or that in the transverse direction only. |
