Composition stimulating germination under environmental stress conditions

Compositions for accelerating seed emergence of warm climate adapted plants grown under environmental stress conditions that delay or inhibit seed emergence thereof are disclosed. The compositions comprise Gibberellic acid, a cytokinin like or kinetin. Moreover, methods for accelerating seed emergence of warm climate adapted plants grown under environmental stress conditions that delay or inhibit seed emergence thereof are provided. The methods comprise an addition of an agriculturally effective amount of gibberellic acid in the vicinity of the seed or root of the plant. Also disclosed are compositions and method to delay the senescence of warm climate adapted plants grown under environmental stress conditions.
