The garment or under-garment, e.g. a brassiere, shorts or T-shirt, is made to take at least one prosthesis which makes up or enhances the figure by adding a patch to the outer or inner surface of the garment to form a pouch (4a, 4b) into which a prosthesis can be inserted through a suitably-sized aperture. The patch can be attached to the garment by appropriate fastenings, or can be made as part of the garment during manufacture. Each pouch can be closed by strips of 'Velcro' (RTM).
