The lamp as a light source (2) placed in proximity to one end of an elongated lamp body (4), which has a reflective internal wall to concentrate light from the source into an opening at the opposite end of the lamp body (6). The light emerges through the opening and falls on a light collection and transmission device (9). The principal part of the body of the light concentrator (4) is in the shape of an ellipsoid. The light source and the opening are on the principal axis of the ellipsoid, at opposite ends. The lamp body is supported on a frame (14) which has a pivot mount (15) to allow mounting of the lamp body on an adjustable stand. |
