A process for the prefabrication of ultra-compact ETARs (waste water treatment stations) consisting of a primary settling assembly, high-load percolator bed, secondary settler and sludge digester, including recirculations to the head of the station and to the percolator bed (primary and secondary recirculations, respectively) and forced ventilation of this latter member. The filtering material is expanded clay, with a suitably selected particle size. All the circuits act on the principle of gravity, except for the recirculation circuits and the circuit supply the secondary settler, which are run from a lifting station which is also included. These ETARs are formed by one or a number of cylindrical modules with a horizontal axis and domed ends, constructed entirely at the factory, made from polyester reinforced with glass fibre with a minimum thickness of 6 mm, each having a 2.5- m diameter and a maximum 12-m length in sections of 1 m or 0.5 m. The number of modules and the exact length of each one of them depends on the number of inhabitants served.

|
