The composition is in solid form for single dosing and issuitable for oral application. It contains salt formed fromranitidine and a complex of bismuth with carboxylic acid, selectedfrom tartaric or citric acids, together with alkaline salt. Thecomposition is in the form of tablets, containingranitidinebismuth citrate and sodium carbonate. The compositionmanifests an improved degree of decomposition and/or dissolutionand finds application in human medicine, blocking the H2-receptorsin the stomach mucous membrane.
