A process for the preparation of fluorosilicone compounds having hydrolyzable groups, which enables the preparation of the fluorosilicone compounds from easily available raw materials in a few steps. The process is characterized by conducting the addition of a fluorinated unsaturated compound represented by the general formula (A): Rf-X-CH=CHR and a compound having a hydrolyzable group as represented by the general formula (B): (Y)¿b(R?10)3-bSi(CH2)aCH=CH2 to the hydrosilyl groups of a hydrosilicone compound having two or more hydrosilyl-bearing organosiloxane units to obtain a fluorosilicone compound having a fluorinated organic group which is represented by the general formula (a): Rf-X-(CH¿2?)c- and directly bonded to silicon and a group having a hydrolyzable group which is represented by the general formula (b): (Y)b(R?10)¿3-bSi(CH2)a+2- and directly bonded to silicon. In said formulae, Rf is a monovalent polyfluorohydrocarbon group optionally having an etheric oxygen atom; X is a divalent hydrocarbon group optionally having an etheric oxygen atom inserted between carbon atoms; R is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; R10 is a monovalent organic group; Y is a hydrolyzable group; a is an integer of 0 to 3; b is an integer of 1 to 3; and c is 2 when R is hydrogen, 3 when R is methyl, or 4 when R is ethyl.
|
