The invention is a sport sailing boat equipped with adjustable ballast, (hereinafter: sailing boat), including a hull, a mast, rigging cordage, rigging and adjustable ballast over the water line. The sailing boat design described herein is primarily suitable for sports purposes, especially in flat-bottom sailing boats. The invention is based on the attachment, through a hinge (10), of a boom (7) carrying the ballast (6) of adjustable position and weight, to the mast (2). The hinge (10) is, first, seated in a way so it can spin around the axis of the mast (2), second, the boom (7) attached to the hinge (10) is supported in bearings at a right angle to the mast (2). The ballast (6) is attached to the boom (7) in such a way that it can move back and forth. The ballast (6) is hollow inside so it can hold an adjustable quantity of water ballast. There are separate control and tensioning ropes (11) attached to the boom (7) and the ballast (6).
