Connectable medical device giving safe, tight connection to another device

A connectable device for medical purposes has >= 2 layers in the connection region, at least one being a stabilising base layer, and at least one other acting as a connection layer. The base layer contains a polyethylene polymer (I) with a degree of cross-linking > 50%, whilst the connection layer contains a polyethylene polymer (II) with a degree of cross-linking 50%, and which forms the inside and/or outside of the device. Also claimed is a method of making the device.
