The food is subjected to infrared radiation from both sides at an infinitely adjustable distance from the upper radiator. The same distance is set from below. The radiation power can be adapted top and bottom to the relevant requirements. The radiation power top and bottom can be adapted separately. It is possible for only the upper radiator to function. The upper radiator can have a grill rack which is moved with the upper part to the surface of the food to provide a grilling pattern on the top of the meat. A trough with metal foil is provided to act as drip tray.
