摘要 A process for obtaining the element resistance of a gas concentration sensor (30) in an internal combustion engine (10) to produce a signal proportional to the concentration obtains the concentration of the exhaust gas during a first cycle, applies selective changes to the voltage and notes the current changes following change to the voltage, on the basis of which the resistance can be determined. The first cycle corresponds in duration to the production time of an actual air:gas ratio signal. The second cycle, to obtain the element resistance, must be longer and asynchronous. The process can be used to control the oxygen concentration sensor and obtain the air:gas ratio in each cylinder of a multiple cylinder engine.
