Bitumen layer applicator for road metalling

The applicator has a multiple wheeled vehicle mounted on a bitument band receiving plate. The vehicle has a pivotable support arm with a laying head and pressure roller. The support arm has at least one guide roller to level the bitumen band. The vehicle is driven by an engine powering the rear wheels (2). The support arm can be laterally positioned on the vehicle frame between the front and rear wheels. The head is rotatably mounted on the arm and has upper and lower feed channels (7,8) with the pressure roller mounted parallel to their axes.
