<p>The invention relates to a system for verifiable clearing of mail boxes (2) wherein the respective mail box (2) is registered together with the clearing time. The respective mail box (2) is registered as an individual and is opened with a mixture of electronic identification together with mechanical lock (3). After clearing, the information concerning clearing of the mail box (2) is arranged to be presented on a display or in some other manner for a certain appointed time.
