The system has overload coupling (6), which protects the line drive against an overload. The coupling element of the rotational and the movement path is integrated in the overload coupling, as a measure for determining the torque loading of the line drive. The value obtained can be evaluated and converted to an indicatable signal. The overload coupling consists of a ball and recess clutch. The rotational and movement path is converted into an electrical signal, and in an electronic evaluation unit (22), it can be processed to an absolute or a relative indication of the torque, transmitted by the monitored line drive (2,4).
