A process for manufacturing a golf club head (206) is disclosed comprising: shaping a fluid-removable core (101) in the general form of the club head (206), placing a flexible inflatable bladder (111) around the core (101), wrapping over the assembly of the core (101) and bladder (111) at least one ply of fiber impregnated with a curable resin (127), forming a cured part (151) in the form of a golf club head (206) by inflating the bladder (111) to force the plies (127) against the inner surfaces of the mold (133) and heating the mold (133) to cure the resin, removing the cured part (151) from the mold (133), disintegrating the fluid-removable core (101) with a fluid sufficient to allow removal of the bladder (111) from the interior of the cured part (151) through a hole (153) in the cured part (151) and removing the bladder (111) to form a hollow molded club head (206) with a hollow interior essentially free from non-functional materials.
