The crank pivot fitting has first and second parts (20,22) adjustable to a different angle between them round a turning axis (24) with internal tooth crowns (30,32) and borings (34,36). There is an external tooth crown (38) inside the internal ones. The shaft (44) of an eccentric cam (40) passes through both borings and has a spring (48). In its initial shape, the spring will not fit in its intended position between the shaft and the cam, but during assembly it is altered plastically so that it can be fitted with maximum spring tension between the shaft and the eccentric.
