Upholstering method fastening covering to padding core

The method fastens a covering to a core of padding. A long anchoring cord is fastened on both sides of the core. This can be reached from the surface of the core. Fastening is effected using a flexible material tape (1), a second edge of which reaches to the cord. The tape and cord (3) are made of materials which can be welded together and the second edge (6) of the tape is laid on the cord and welded to it. Variations on this theme are described. Preferably the thermoplastic used is polyester.
