The arrangement includes a card reading unit and a casing aperture for the reception of a card (30). The casing aperture comprises a slider (21) which can be inserted in the interior of the operating arrangement, and which transports the card from a card reception position in the to an operating position. A card inserted in the operating part does not stand out over the casing surface. The casing aperture comprises preferably a card reception insert with a base plate (22) and a slider which is movable with respect to the base plate. The card reception insert is preferably connected to a data processing unit using flexible conductors (26) with a data processing unit.
