Connector clamp for electric lead

The connector clamp releasably connects an electric lead in the form of a wire or flex with an electrically conductive contact rail. The clamp has a rotatable clamp plate. When this is pivoted, the clamp plate presses the lead against the plate. This connection can be released when needed, with a suitable tool, by pressing on a locking lug. When required, the clamp plate can be fed from outside into the respective clamp chamber of the housing for stripping the insulation and clamping the lead. The clamp plate and/or the contact rail has not cuts to connect already stripped wires. An elastic housing projection can hold the clamp plate releasably in the clamp position.
