Height adjustable shelf for table tops

The shelf (15) has a support (1) with two console brackets (2, 3) of which one is fixable on the table (4) and the other supports the shelf. The support can be vertically adjusted and fixed relative to the console brackets. The console brackets and the shelf are designed so that the shelf is held displaceable horizontally in the longitudinal direction of the table. The support has a profiled section with a channel running in the longitudinal direction and serving to hold slide nuts (10). The channel opens to the outside through a slit adapted to the diameter of screw shafts.
