Control method for bidirectional data input/output circuit for synchronous memory element

The method involves unconditionally operating a write data drive device if write data are generated during a period when a write process continually follows a read process if a write command is entered whilst a read data drive device is being operated. Previously transferred read data are stored if the write data and the read data are sufficiently different and the opposite signal of the read data is selected as the write data signal. The signal on the data line is used of the read data and write data are identical.
