The system uses sensors (2) associated with the different electrical function units (6), coupled to an electrical distribution network and data bus system (5), each sensor having an identification unit which is separate from the bus system, for identification via a remote-control device (1), without activation of the bus system. Each remote-control device is independent of the hardware and software of the installed bus system and communicates with the sensor identification units for operation of the required function units.
