The mould, for the production of a bottle cap (1), comprises a stripper ring (21) with at least one notch and/or at least one projection (27) at the level of the lower edge of the skirt (3), in at least two separate positions. They form a mortice/tenon joint between the skirt (3) and the stripper ring (21) during cap (1) moulding and removal from the mould. Also claimed is a bottle cap (1) with at least one projection and/or at least one notch (10) at the lower edge of the skirt (3) in at least two separate positions.
