A methanol/steam reforming reactor (1a) holds a quantity of a catalytic material (3). The reactor (1a) has an inlet (4) admitting the mixture of gas and steam (6) which is to be re-combined. The improvement is that: (a) the reforming reactor (1a) inlet (4) surrenders the mixture to a droplet catcher (8), preventing their direct contact with the catalytic material (3).
