The system comprises an air admission valve (1.4) to be positioned in the fuel supply line (1.2) and control means comprising an electronic control unit (1.5) mounted on the valve body and connected by cable (1.8) or by wireless means to a digital code input device (1.7). If unauthorised starting is detected by the control unit (1.5) (eg in response to signals from the parking brake or ignition), the valve (1.4) is opened by the control unit (1.5) so that air is drawn into the fuel line (1.2) thus slowing or stopping the engine or preventing it from starting. Even when armed, fuel flow is unaffected in normal operation. |
