A pointing device 1 comprising: clamp means 3 capable of clamping the device to the head of a user; means 5 for sensing the direction of movement of the head of the user and for outputting direction signals indicative thereof; means 7 for mounting the sensing means 5 on the clamp means 3; means 50 for setting a deadzone in which movement of the head of the user does not result in the output of direction signals.
