The hydraulic tube manufacturing machines are operated by a process control computer to fully automatically produce the tubes. The raw tubing is provided on rolls (3) held in two vertical levels on a roll stand (2). The roll position is movable to lead the tubing to feeding rollers (7,8). These feed the tube into the first machine that measures a length of tube and cuts it with a tong type cutter (16). The tube is moved onto stations where it is peeled and nipples with sleeves are added from a magazine (24) by a robot (25). The tube moves to a nipple pressing unit (29,30) and then cleaning (31) and testing stages (33) before packing (35). |
