PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal recording material having fixability by incorporating one type of nitroxide compound as color erasure inhibitor used together with optical free radical generating agent and dye to be color erased with the free radical generated from the agent in a support of an optical color erasure type thermal recording material. SOLUTION: An optical color erasure type thermal recording material contains an optical free radical generating agent for absorbing a light to generate free radical, dye to be color erased with the free radical generated from the agent and color erasure inhibitor on a support. In this case, as the inhibitor, at least one type of nitroxide compound is incorporated. The compound preferably contains at least 1 to 10 of units indicated by formulae. In the formulae, Z indicates a bivalent linkage group which may be substituted with substituted or unsubstituted saturated or unsaturated alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkoxy group, aryl group, alkanoyl group, aroyl group, amino group or hydroxyl group. |
