<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sharp hitting feeling such as a muscle back type, and make a stronger hitting possible while keeping the merit of a cavity back type by forming a plurality of protuberances being independent from each other on the front surface in a recessed cavity which is formed on the rear side of a head. SOLUTION: On a back 3 side of a head main body 1, a cavity 11 comprising a recess of which the rim is left, is formed. On a flat surface-shaped front surface 11a in the cavity 11, a large number of approx. conical shaped protuberances 12 which are independent from each other are formed. The protuberances 12 are approx. uniformly distirbuted on the front surface 11a in the cavity 11, and are orthogonal to the front surface 11a. Thus, by forming the cavity 11 on the back 3 side, the head can be made larger without increasing the weight of the overall head, and the face can be made wider. In addition, the sweet area becomes wider, and a misshot can be prevented from generating. Also, by the protuberances 12, a sharp hitting feeling can be obtained, and at the same time, a strong ball can be hit.</p> |
