PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust display color tone while keeping the maximum light emitting luminance and the gradation number of respective colors R, G and B. SOLUTION: Sub-fields SFa and SFb for adjusting display color tone are formed in one field in addition to sub-fields SF1 -SF8 for displaying gradation. Then, when the display color tone of some color is adjusted, the maximum light emitting luminance thereof is enhanced by displaying the gradation thereof by using both of the sub-fields SFa and SFb and the sub-fields SF1 -SF8 . Thus, excellent display quality is realized by easily adjusting the display color tone while keeping the maximum light emitting luminance and the gradation number of the color other than the color whose color tone is adjusted. |
