PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cleanly maintain water in a humidifying element by periodically and forcibly releasing a drain valve at each preset time. SOLUTION: Adjacent humidifying elements 11 are connected successively in series via a connecting pipe 27. Also, a drain pipe 28 drained to a drain pan 44 is connected to the humidifying element 11 at the extreme downstream, and an electromagnetic type drain valve 29 is arranged at the drain pipe 28. The water supply valve 29 is set so that it is normally opened and closed according to the operation/stop of a ventilation unit 2. A timer 50 is inserted into a relay circuit for controlling the drain valve 29 in a water supply control circuit 40. When the timer 50 counts a certain preset time (for example, 24 hours), the drain valve 29 is released periodically and forcibly for a certain amount of time (for example, 10 minutes) regardless of the operation state of the ventilation unit 2, thus preventing water in the humidifying element 11 from stagnating. |
