PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control power supply to a load with reliability by activating a load driving circuit by applying a boosting voltage to the input step of load driving circuit when driving the load, and inactivating the load driving circuit by executing the extraction of charges accumulated on the input step during the activation of load driving circuit when stopping driving the load. SOLUTION: This semiconductor device has a load driving circuit 20 and a booster circuit 10 composed of a boosting voltage generation circuit 12, delay timing generation circuit 14 and driving circuit 16. The driving circuit 16 is provided with a transistor Q6 in satisfactory complementary relation with an output step transistor Q5 and when inactivating the load driving circuit 20, the charges accumulated at the gate of load driving circuit 20 are extracted through the transistor Q6 to a ground potential GND at high speed. Thus, switching time in the OFF control of load driving circuit 20 can be shortened and satisfactory switching characteristics can be provided. |
