PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process information with desirable type face without performing a specially troublesome operation even when type face data corresponding to the type face used in a document file. SOLUTION: When a computer 100 that is connected to a network and processes a document file attempts to open a document file which is designated by a user, it checks the contents of the document file and decides whether a font that does not belongs to the computer 100 itself exists by checking Font list data. When it decides that an unregistered font exists, it inquires of a computer 200 about it through an NIC 4. When the computer 200 owns corresponding font data, it transfers the font data to the computer 100 in the case of the existence of it. The computer 100 registers the font data transferred in this way and makes it available. |
