PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification device which can purify and then, discharge to the outside a toxic gas such as hydrogen fluoride which generates when a fluorine-based fire extinguisher gas discharged from fire extinguishing equipment is dissolved by coming into contact with flames of a high temperature, etc. SOLUTION: This purification device purifies a toxic gas such as hydrogen fluoride which is a decomposition product of a fluorine based fire extinguisher gas discharged from a fire extinguishing equipment, and discharges it to the outside of a building. In this case, an air discharging passage 1 connected to the fire extinguishing section, is branched, an a toxic gas purifying passage 2 wherein a filter member 3 containing a toxic gas, adsorbing substance to adsorb a toxic gas such as hydrogen fluoride is arranged, is formed, and at the same time, a dampter 4 for passage switching which switches the air discharging passage 1 and the toxic gas adsorbing passage 2, and a damper 5 for passage closing to close the fire extinguishing section when a fire generates, are provided.
