PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving grinding precision to a crown work roll. SOLUTION: A roll polishing belt grinding device 10 comprises a polishing belt 11 rotated by a motor 13. The polishing belt 11 is pressed to a surface T' of a subject roll T to be ground. The roll polishing belt grinding device 10 has guide pulleys 12a1, 12a2 for the polishing belt 11, and a contact pulley 15 installed to rotate between the guide pulleys 12a1, 12a2. The contact pulley 15 to press the polishing belt 11 to the subject surface T' to be ground is controlled by an actuator, or a motor favorably, to be inclined to follow the subject roll surface T'. |
